Though little is known of Pierre Montale, founder of Mancera, as he avoids interviews and photos, his expertise in perfumery speaks volumes. Montale founded the brand in 2008, drawing upon travels and studies through Saudi Arabia as well as a fondness for Art Deco. Agarwood and other warm woods and spices star in many such fragrances. Mancera Sand Aoud Perfume by Mancera, Anyone can enjoy the rich, glowing aroma of Mancera Sand Aoud, created by Pierre Montale and launched in 2011. As the name suggests, this unisex fragrance is built on the deep and vibrant scent of oud, also known as agarwood. The accords present in this perfume heavily feature spices as well, particularly in the opening alongside black currant. Incense, paired with rose and saffron, emerges in the heart of the fragrance before leading into the agarwood base, also including vanilla, patchouli and white musk. The heavy warmth persists throughout the day, stirring the senses and the spirit through a brisk morning and into the evening.
