First established in 1854 in Stolberg, Germany, Maurer & Wirtz was founded by Michael Maurer and his stepson, Andreas Wirtz. The brand got its start creating fine soaps in this small town near Aachen, Germany, and the business has been in the family for five generations and counting, representing more than 150 years of European tradition. While the company primarily focused on European markets until the early 1990s, today their perfumes and colognes can be found in sales outlets the world over. House scents were made in collaboration with perfumers Alexandra Kalle, Vincent Schaller, Wilhelm Muelhens, Geza Schoen and Cecile Hua. All products are original, authentic name brands.
